ALBAWABA - Yuvraj Narayan was appointed as the new Group Chief Executive Officer of DP World.
In addition, the new Chairman of DP World’s Board of Directors is Essa Kazim, replacing former leader Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, who was linked to the controversial American businessman Jeffrey Epstein, the group announced in a statement.
Narayan will be responsible for "overseeing financial strategy, corporate finance, and business operations, significantly impacting DP World’s global supply chain solutions and container trade management," DP World wrote.
According to the DP World website, Narayan was able during the past few years of working on expanding the DP World's operations to include 79 countries, handling around 10 percent of global container trade.

Who is Yuvraj Narayan?
Yuvraj Narayan is a qualified chartered accountant. He was born in October 1956, and he is an Indian citizen. He also has a long-term residency in the United Arab Emirates.
He joined DP World in 2004 and became Group CFO in 2005. Before that, he used to work at ANZ Group as Head of Corporate and Project Finance for South Asia and served as Chief Financial Officer at Salalah Port Services in Oman.
