A Yemeni Jew, who announced his candidacy in January for the municipal elections, died last week in Hamam- Damt neighborhood of Al-Dhalih city, reported the weekly Yemen Times Monday.
Ezer Ibrahim died of internal bleeding, due to tripping on a smooth surface that caused him to hit his head violently on the floor, said the weekly.
Yemen's election committee rejected Ibrahim’s candidacy for religious reasons.
Ibrahim, a member of Yemen's Jewish community, had registered to run on the list of the ruling General People's Congress (GPC).
