It was reported that Yemen intends to upgrade its 100,000-bpd Aden oil refinery at an estimated cost of $250 million.

Prime Minister Abdul-Qader Bagammal told The October 14 newspaper that the government as well as the private sector would fund the plan.

The project involves building a power plant, upgrading the refinery's crude distillation and gasoline units, building a hydrocracker, and installing a computerized control system for the 49-year-old refinery, a refinery official told the agency – Albawaba.com
