A Hajjah primary court on Monday convicted five men of drug trafficking and sentenced them each to 25 years in jail.

Presiding judge Ahamd al-Mualimi said the court found the five men guilty of trafficking Hashish to Saudi Arabia.

The court ordered the abolishing of about 100 kilograms of Hashish seized in possession of the group last year, SABA said.

The convicts had been arrested in the districts of Haradh, Abbss and Midi of the Hajjah province, some 190 kilometers northwest of Sana'a, on April 2004.
