Yemeni foreign minister Abu Bakr Abdullah al-Qurbi is to start an official visit to the Islamic republic of Iran on Sunday in response to an invitation extended by his Iranian counterpart, Kamal Kharrazi, it was announced in Tehran Saturday.
IRNA said that al-Qurbi would deliver a letter from the Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh to his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Khatami. The agency added that the Yemeni minister would meet several top Iranian officials to discuss bilateral ties and ways of strengthening them in all fields.
In addition, he will review international and regional matters of mutual concern topped by the Middle East peace process and the Iraqi issue. (Albawaba.com)
