ALBAWABA - Yemen fired missiles towards Israel on Monday and announced a complete ban on maritime navigation by Israel in the Red Sea.

Yemeni military officer Yahya Saree said the country considers Israel's movements a target for its forces as it bans Israeli ships from the Red Sea.

Saree said in a video statement, "We launched a salvo of missiles at sensitive targets in the occupied Jaffa area and achieved our objectives."

He added, "We will respond to escalation with escalation, and our operations will escalate in line with events and in conjunction with the axis of resistance."

Iran launched waves of missile attacks targeting Israel on Sunday night in response to Israeli aggression in Lebanon. In retaliation, Tel Aviv announced striking several bank targets in Iran.
