Bahrain announced on Sunday the kickoff of a year-long public health awareness campaign to mark the World Health Day, reported the Gulf Daily.
The campaign will be spearheaded by ministries of health and education, in cooperation with the World Heath Organization, said the paper.
Various health awareness and educational programs will be run during the campaign, through local newspapers, television and radio.
“These programs will be conducted on a regular basis to ensure the message is delivered to people,” an official at the health ministry said.
“Our aim is to reach out to as many people as possible and change their attitude towards psychiatric problems,” he added.
A variety of issues will be covered by the campaign, including teenage problems, addiction and depression, said the paper – Albawaba.com
