Expanding its line of products for office environments, Xerox Middle East & Africa has announced a new desktop black-and-white laser printer designed to deliver greater productivity – including standard automatic two-sided printing – at an entry-level price.
Starting at $350 the Phaser® 3428 black-and-white laser printer is available in two models: the Phaser 3428D and Phaser 3428DN. Both models have the duplex-printing feature, which is typically found only in much larger and more expensive laser printers. With a 400 MHz processor, the Phaser 3428 prints up to 28 (A4) pages per minute and has a first-page-out time as fast as 8.5 seconds, allowing businesses to quickly complete large print jobs.

The Phaser 3428 delivers enhanced 1200 dpi image quality and offers several advanced, convenient features, such as Auto Tray Selection, which automatically chooses the correct paper for the print job based on the size of the file being printed, and Job Cancel, which allows customers to cancel print jobs directly from the desktop.
The Phaser 3428D comes standard with PCL 6 printer language, while the Phaser 3428DN adds networking functionality, additional 32 MB memory and PostScript 3 printer language.
With a four-click installation process, the Phaser 3428 is easy to set up, and the printer’s front access panel allows for quick and simple replacement of toner and other consumables. In addition, the Phaser 3428DN configuration comes with CentreWare Web, a server-based application that helps manage both Xerox and third-party devices, and CentreWare Internet Services, which provides remote device management and supply replenishment alerts.
The Phaser 3428 is ENERGY STAR® compliant and is available from November in the Middle East region through Xerox appointed partners and distributors in the region.
