The World Bank has granted Mauritania a $70 million loan to support projects in several towns, said Minister of Economic Affairs and Development Mohamed Ould Nani on Sunday.
He said that the funds would be used to regenerate outlying areas of the capital, Nouakchott, and the second city of Nouadhibou, the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted him as saying.
The loans will also be used to extend the urban road network and improve the quality of life of town dwellers by providing better access to drinking water, electricity and micro-credits, the minister added – Albawaba.com
