A worker at Cairo’s international airport this week returned a passenger’s briefcase containing documents and more than 150,000 Egyptian pounds, the daily Al Akhbar said.
The worker, Ahmed Fuad, found the briefcase in front of the arrival lounge and handed it over to airport officials, who immediately examined the case and documented its contents.
They found that it belonged to a Dutch businessman, Joseph Martenitch.
The daily said that Martenitch went to the airport after being notified and received his briefcase intact from the airport intelligence department.
The businessman offered to give the worker a reward for his honesty, but Fuad refused to take anything, reiterating that what he did was a normal humanitarian action that everybody should do - Albawaba.com
