A Palestinian suicide bomber blew himself up early Tuesday at an Israeli checkpoint in the West Bank, Israeli occupation military sources said. They added three Israeli soldiers were injured in the blast, which occurred less than 24 hours after Israel assassinated three senior Fatah activists in the West Bank city of Jenin.
Two Palestinians were also injured in the attack, Israel Radio reported.
Reports said the bomber blew himself up near an Israeli military jeep at Hable checkpoint, near the city of Qalqilya.
One of the soldiers was suffering from burns which could be life-threatening, rescue workers said. The wounds of the others were described as light.
Also in the West Bank, occupation forces early Tuesday stormed Noor Shams refugee camp to the east of Tulkarem and imposed curfew on the refugee camp and blocked Tulkarem-Nablus road.
Troops were searching houses especially in Al-Manshia suburb to the east of the refugee camp. In addition, soldiers were deployed on rooftops and nearby hills. Later, it was reported that a Palestinian activist was shot dead by Israeli forces. (Albawaba.com)
