With a small purchase on cosmetics at Paris Gallery, Taj Mohammed Masihujin, from Dubai, has become the lucky winner of AED 25,000 worth of Paris Gallery vouchers in the retailer’s joint promotion with Visa International, the world’s leading provider of payment solutions.
The exclusive offer, which ended on June 21, provided Visa cardholders from twelve UAE leading banks with a Visa gift voucher of AED 50 which could be used when spending AED 299 or more at any of Paris Gallery’s outlets in the Emirates. Shoppers availing of the special offer were also entered into the raffle draw to win a AED 25,000 shopping spree at Paris Gallery.
Speaking of his win, Mr. Masihujin said: “I am thrilled to have won such a valuable prize in this promotion and can not believe I was named the winner. My wife and I already have a wish list and we will enjoy selecting from the range of fragrances, watches and other luxury products in store. I would like to thank Paris Gallery and Visa for the opportunity they have provided me with.”
“I regularly use my Visa card when making purchases and I’ll be sure to continue to do so to avail of the privileges it offers,” continued Masihujin.
Mr. Masihujin received his prize from Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Fahim, Executive Director of Paris Gallery at their flagship store in Deira City Centre. He will be able to select from Paris Gallery’s wide range of cosmetics, fragrances, designer watches, diamond jewellery and fashion accessories from top international brands. In addition, the winner may also choose to pamper his wife at Paris Gallery’s Day Spa and enjoy treatments which blend nature’s beauty secrets with the latest cosmetic technology.
The Visa AED 50 vouchers were sent to cardholders from twelve banks inviting their customers to participate in the promotion and enter the prize draw. Additionally, the gift vouchers were also available at the Paris Gallery showrooms.
Participating banks included HSBC, Citibank, Standard Chartered Bank, Dubai Bank, National Bank of Dubai, Mashreqbank, Commercial Bank of Dubai, Union National Bank, Emirates Bank, First Gulf Bank, Dubai Islamic Bank, and National Bank of Abu Dhabi.
Commenting on the announcement of the grand prize winner, Stephen Coakley, Marketing Communications Manager for Visa International in the Middle East said: “We are delighted to announce a winner in the Paris Gallery promotion and sincerely hope he enjoys shopping from their fine selection of luxury items. Our leading edge is the ability to provide value to our customers, allowing them to enjoy special privileges and exclusive offers unique to Visa.
“In addition to the special promotions from renowned international and regional brands, we offer convenience and flexibility to our cardholders. Whether they are shopping for something special or making day to day purchases, Visa cardholders do not have to carry large amounts of cash with them or make frequent trips to cash dispensers as Visa cards are accepted at 24 million merchants around the world - any place, anytime and anywhere.”
Ramesh Chhugani, Business Development Manager, Paris Gallery added: “Last year our joint promotion for the purchase of fragrances was a huge success – this had inspired us to extend this promotion once again to our valued Visa customers. To make their shopping experience even more rewarding, the promotion was applicable to all our products this time around, allowing them to shop to their heart’s content from the full range of luxury products.”
Mr. Chhugani continued: “Almost half of our customers prefer to pay by credit card, rather than cash. Of our card-paying customers almost 70 percent are Visa cardholders – a significant proportion which can be rewarded through incentives and provide us with the opportunity to boost our sales. “
