The Tunis Science Academy and the Exploratorium of San Francisco organized over the weekend a videoconference debate between Tunisian and American youth. The videoconference lasted about an hour and a half.
The students who participated are studying maths and science. They were joined by a number of public figures in the scientific community. The allafrica.com website quoted Brahim Baccari, the director of the Tunis Science Academy as describing the event as "historic." Baccari expressed his desire to increase the number of such initiatives.
