The city of Utrecht in the Netherlands has hosted on Sunday, June 5, its sixth Cultural Sunday, under the topic of “Morocco Express”. The event started with a traditional Moroccan breakfast at 10:00 in the morning, which lured about 100 people. It was followed by a long series of various cultural events, held in 15 different sites in the city. These included concerts, conferences, workshops, photograph exhibitions, Moroccan cuisine tasting and more.
Le Matin reports that among the event’s highlights were a lecture by Paolo De Mas, a university professor and the former cultural attache of the Netherlands in Morocco, titled “Morocco-Netherlands 400 years”, and a concert by Andalusia, a music group that combines Arab-Islamic music with flamenco rhythms, which attracted a lot of attention.
