One U.S. soldier died and another is missing after their vehicle overturned near Iraq's main prison, located west of the capital Baghdad, the U.S. military said in statement Tuesday.
It said the dead soldier was a military policeman while the missing U.S. trooper was from the 82nd Airborne Division.
One vehicle in a four-vehicle convoy "overturned and became submerged in a tunnel near Abu Gharib prison," an estimated 20 kilometers west of Baghdad, the statement said.
The incident took place at around 10:45 p.m. (local time) on Monday, it added. (Albawaba.com)
