ALBAWABA - U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham called for the war in the Gaza Strip to resume during his visit to Israel, claiming that attacks should target Hamas' capabilities.

Graham urged the conduct of a new military operation against the Palestinian movement, accusing it of rebuilding itself and its powers.

"It is essential that we quickly develop a plan and give Hamas a deadline to disarm," the Senator said in a press conference, adding, "If they don't, I will encourage President Trump to unleash Israel to eliminate Hamas."

Lindsey Graham further said, "It's a long and brutal war, but you cannot achieve success anywhere in the region until you succeed in removing Hamas from Gaza's future and disarming them."

Graham said, during his Tel Aviv visit, that the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire would fail if Hamas refused to hand over its weapons.

Despite the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, warplanes launched several airstrikes this morning on the city of Rafah and the eastern areas of Khan Yunis city in the southern Gaza Strip.
