ALBAWABA - U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced Tuesday that the military banned an Iranian-flagged oil tanker from reaching Iranian shores.
In a post on X, CENTCOM said that U.S. guided-missile destroyer USS Rafael Peralta stopped the M/T Stream "after it attempted to sail to an Iranian port" on Sunday.
It wrote, "Guided-missile destroyer USS Rafael Peralta (DDG 115) enforces the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports against M/T Stream after it attempted to sail to an Iranian port, April 26."
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the army has imposed a waterway blockade on Iranian ports, banning any linked vessel from sailing to or from Iran.
This movement came after Iran's decision to reclose the Strait of Hormuz following the collapse in talks with Washington and the failure to reach a deal to end the war.
