A new social center for women was recently opened in Sousse by UNFT (the National Union of Tunisian Women). La Presse reports that this center is the fruit of the Tunisian-American cooperation since the United States financed the construction of the center with an amount of $300,000. this sum was given to UNFT within the framework of the US Humanitarian Aid Program. La Presse notes that apart from the center in Sousse, UNFT developed the projects of two social centers in Tunis, in conjunction with the US humanitarian aid program.
