The United Nations Secretary-General's Special Adviser on Cyprus Alvaro de Soto is expected to be in New York next week for consultations with UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, in view of a proposed decision to put forward or not a solution plan to the Greek Cypriot and the Turkish Cypriot sides, CNA news agency reported.
The UN chief’s spokesman Fred Eckhard said that de Soto, who visited last week Greece, will meet in the next day or two with President Glafcos Clerides and after that he is planning to visit Turkey for the second time this month. (Albawaba.com)
