U.N. nuclear inspectors will leave North Korea on New Year's eve after Pyongyang booted them out, and the Bush administration intends to intensify pressure on the communist state if it refuses to abandon its nuclear arms program.
According to AP, U.S. officials said on Saturday Washington would look to North Korea's neighbours and allies, along with the United Nations, to step up pressure on Pyongyang, in what one called a "tailored containment" strategy. (Albawaba.com)
