UN mission in Mali ends operations after 10 years

ALBAWABA - After 10 years of operating, the United Nations mission in Mali has officially ended its deployment, according to its spokesperson.

The mission, known as MINUSMA, lowered the United Nations flag at its headquarters in the capital Bamako, its spokesperson Fatoumata Kaba told AFP. The symbolic ceremony marks the official end of the mission she said.
