United Nations secretary-general Kofi Annan praised Yemen’s foreign policy and the role of the wise political leadership of president Ali Abdullah Saleh which led to peacefully demarcating borders with Yemen's neighboring countries, according to SABA news agency Tuesday.

Kofi Annan said as he met with Abdullah Mohammad al-Saeedi who handed him his credentials as Yemen's permanent representative in the United Nations, that Sanaa’s interest to solve border disputes with neighbors through peaceful talks is a good example to be followed up upon, appreciating Yemen's presence in various international occasions.

SABA added that al-Saeedi confirmed that Yemen’s foreign policy is based on non-intervention in internal affairs of other countries and peacefully dissolves its disputes with others. (Albawaba.com)
