This unique collaboration aims at mapping necessary skills and competencies required to build the Ministry’s Human Resources capacity by providing a wide range of services designed to improve performance and services, and hence meet the high-quality standards expected by the management. UKS, in collaboration with its training and consultancy partners, is delivering a comprehensive, state-of-the-art solution which comprises a Learning Portal Interface, a Competency Management System and Competency Mapping Consultancy which are the three key requirements identified for this program’s success.

The MoU signed by UAE Minister of Labor Dr. Ali Bin Abdullah Al Kaabi and Universal Knowledge Solutions CEO Mr. Fadi AbdulKhalek, is the result of rigorous ground work conducted by UKS experts based on a previous agreement set up by both parties in order to draw a road map for the Ministry’s program.

This MoU will enhance mutual cooperation between the Ministry and UKS to provide fundamental career enhancement and training programs to the leaders, managers and employees at the MOL.  Rather than focusing on the result itself, the program will tackle the factors behind government staff’s apathy by building a career path for each employee with a clear set of competency and performance measurements hence boosting their motivation and reflecting directly on their entire attitude towards the job.

According to Dr. Ali Bin Abdullah Al Kaabi, the project aims at acquiring the most efficient technology in competency mapping for new recruits in order to select the most suitable and competent employee for the job. Furthermore, the training programs open up an innovative path for success and advancement as new competencies will be acquired through an eLearning solution offering up-to-the-minute training modules specifically designed to empower employees with the necessary skills in order to succeed in the workplace.

The Minister noted that "The improvement of our employees’ performance on the job is one of the strategic priorities of this country and has gained great interest from H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler of the UAE and H.H. Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. This project contributes to and follows the regional trend heading towards growth and performance by empowering human resources with fundamental career enhancement and training programs."

UKS CEO Mr. Fadi Abdul-Khalek stressed the importance of this partnership and stated that "UKS will utilize its expertise in order to make this project a great success and set an example for all ministries and government bodies in the UAE to start implementing innovative training programs for capacity building."
