Al Alami is visiting the UAE and is accompanied by Hassan Bernoussi, Head of "Invest in Morocco". During the press conference, he emphasized the strengths of the Moroccan economy and the "Fundamentals of Investment", the prestigious conference of international world leaders and businesspersons, to be held on December 7th and 8th 2006, in the Moroccan capital, Rabat.

Under the royal patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and organized by the Moroccan Investment Board for the fourth consecutive year, "The Fundamentals of Investment" will witness a high-profile gathering of top international investors and business personalities.

High ranking officials from the UAE are expected to speak at the conference in a bid to highlight the country's educational system, job training and employment practices.  The choice of this year’s theme reflects Morocco’s commitment to satisfy the current expectations of international investors and to promote sustainable socio-economic development.

The seminar's theme this year will be "Education, Training and Employment: the challenges of investment" and will attract key players of politics, economics and academics fields from across the globe. This year, India will be the country guest of honour.

The Moroccan government has in fact launched four large programs this year as part of a very active policy in recruiting newly graduated people, helping unemployed people to find jobs, encouraging the set up of new businesses and improving the functioning of the job market.

Following the example of the previous edition, a scientific committee presided this year by Mr. Rachid BENMOKTAR BENABDALLAH, President of AL AKHAWAYN University, Ifrane, Morocco, will oversee the thematic framework of the conference.

Many international experts in the field of "Education, Training and Employment" will meet and share their experiences, debate on local initiatives and seek answers to issues such as the development and promotion of a country's human capital as a decisive factor to attract foreign investors.

The agenda will include debates, recommendations and actions on various relevant issues. Focused workshops, exhibitions and plenary sessions will de conducted alongside the conference to give participants a more in-depth view of the topics discussed.
