The National Bank of Abu Dhabi, National Bank of Dubai and Emirates Bank International have reportedly agreed to directly debit e-government service fees from customers' bank accounts, according to banking sources, cited by the Gulf News.
Meanwhile, the payment gateway, single sign-ons and passwords and the national ID number are now being worked out by the Dubai e-government project team, the Central Bank, Comtrust (the project implementation partner), the Naturalization and Residency Department and other security bodies, said Salem Al Shair, e-services manager and member of the Dubai E-Government executive team.
The national ID number, a project by the ministry of the interior, will give additional security to e-government service users, he said. Electronic linkage of specific federal transactions (like companies) is also being discussed by the team with the designated federal authorities, he added - Albawaba.com
