UAE’s Dubai plans to build 7,000 villas with government assistance in 10 years, reported the Gulf News on Thursday.
By January next year, almost 500 villas will be complete. And by next month, the keys to 223 villas will be given to new homeowners at the Private Housing Finance Scheme's Al Barsha project, located on Sheikh Zayed Road near Dubai Police College, said the paper.
The scheme, a Dubai government initiative, was established in 1993 and is run by Emirates Bank International.
It helps male Dubai nationals over 21 years of age to “build their dream villas on government-granted land.”
The average plot measures 12,000 square feet, it said – Albawaba.com
