In the meantime, Israeli troops killed Mahmoud Haymour 37, while they assaulted Ein Sultan Refugee camp at the north of the West Bank City of Jericho. Mohamed Kurdi 20, was injured as an Israeli jeep ran over him.
In Israel, the security cabinet, convened by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert approved Wednesday morning an expansion of the ongoing military operation in the Gaza Strip.
"In light of the abduction [of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit] and continued rocket fire, including the Qassam strike on Ashkelon, we must prepare in order to bring about a change in the rules of the game, and in our dealings with the Palestinian Authority and Hamas, based on the parameters presented by the defense establishment," said an official statement from the Prime Minister's Office issued after the meeting.
