Two people were killed and three others injured on Thursday morning after a car crashed into a tractor near the central Iranian city of Khorramabad in Lorestan province, reported the official Iranian news agency (IRNA).
The accident occurred on the road near the city of Selseleh, some 45 kilometers from Khorramabad, in which two passengers of the car were killed on the spot and two others as well as a women were injured and taken to hospital.
Police blamed the driver of the tractor for the accident.
Some 200,000 cases of accidents occur annually in Iran in which 15,000 people are killed and 87,000 injured.
