Suspected militants killed two people in separate incidents while Army forces arrested a youth in the course of search operations in Kashmir valley on Thursday, according to official sources.
Unidentified militants abducted carpet weaver Manzoor Ahmad Rather from his house in Haalwani village in Anantnag district Wednesday night and later his body was found in nearby Sailiya village with its throat slit, the sources said, cited by PTI. Rather was killed on the suspicion of his being an informer of security forces, they added.
Meanwhile, police officials recovered an unidentified body with a bomb-like object tied to it from Keller village in Pulwama district on Thursday, the sources said. Troops of Rashtriya Rifles arrested a youth, Javid Ahmad Turay during search operations at village Jan Mohalla in Shopian area of Pulwama district on the same day. (Albawaba.com)
