Two Egyptians were jailed Wednesday in Cairo for setting up a gay website, reported Ananova.com.

It said that Sami Gamal and Gameel Gebreel posted obscene photos and touted for gay sex either paid or unpaid.

The court, in its ruling, called the site "unprecedented."

Gamal, 27, was sentenced to a three-year jail term, while, Gebreel,32, was sentenced to 15 months, said the news service.

Both convicts "abused the technological revolution to do their disgraceful act that defames Egypt," said the court’s ruling – Albawaba.com
