Turkish Cypriot leader Rauf Denktash underwent open-heart surgery Monday at the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.
According to Turkish sources, Denktash's operation went well. The Turkish Cypriot leader is currently resting in the recovery room of the intensive care unit, according to Cyprus News Agency.
