The Turkish company STFA Tunnel Corporation has won a $47 million bid to build Lakdara Bouria De L'Autoroute tunnel in Algeria, reported the Anatolia News Agency.

According to the Turkish news agency, the STFA has entered the Algerian market last year as the first Turkish contractor and is expanding its business in this country.

Seven international firms participated in the bidding, which was finally won by STFA Tunnel Corporation.

STFA has already had a foothold in other Arab countries.

Last year, Oman's government hired the company to build $33 million liquid berths for its port in the north -- Albawaba.com
