ALBAWABA - At least eight people were killed, and 26 others were injured in a bus crash that took place in Antalya, according to provincial governor Hulusi Sahin.

Hulusi Sahin said on Sunday, "Eight of our citizens have lost their lives, and 26 have been injured."

Antalya's governor declared that the bus was carrying 34 passengers before it crashed off a highway near the city of Antalya.

"It's an intersection where you shouldn’t drive fast, yet it appears the bus entered it at high speed," Sahin revealed, adding that rain had made the road slippery.

Videos and photos were posted from the location of the incident, showing a bus flipped on the side of the road with emergency services, medical staff and firefighters at the scene.
