The Tunisian minister of technology and information Montassar Ouaïli has now completed an official visit to Korea and handed a personal letter from recently re-elected President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali to the Korean President Roh Moo Hyun.
Ouaïli was hosted by the Korean foreign and trade minister Ban Ki Moon, who praised Tunisia for technological advancement. The Tunisian minister held a series of meetings with representatives of Tunisian industry especially in hi-tech fields, for example Daewoo and Samsung.
Ouaïli outlined the attractive benefits of investing in Tunisia and using Tunisia as a gateway to the Arab and African markets, while benefiting from the economic and social stability in the country.
Tunisia is very keen to boost relations with Korea because it sees it as a potential strategic partner in boosting investment in the country. (menareport.com)
