The Media library of Ariana is hostin an Ikebana exhibition and the Tunisian Group Jasmin Ikebana between Thursday March 17 and Saturday March 19. La Presse reports that Ikebana is a traditional Japanese art of beautifully arranging leaves and flowers, which has been practiced for 600 years by the elite and the clergy at the beginning and then by everyone in all levels of the Japan society.
Any kind of plant can be used for Ikebana such as branches, leaves, grass, fruits, etc and the dead leaves might have more value than the flowers in blossom. A work of Ikebana can be made up of only one material or several materials, but the selection of each element requires an informed eye to create a beauty that combines the nuances of philosophical symbols. This event will give Tunisians the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Ikebana for two days in the Media Library of Ariana.
