Tunisia and the European Union have plans to sign 16 agreements this year covering a total of 1.22 billion dinars.
An official said in Tunis that the money would be used to fund economic and corporate improvement programmes.
Tunisia received 615 million dinars from the European Investment Bank 1987-2000, while five agreements totalling 70 dinars in 2000 alone and mostly financed by the EU were invested in the insurance sector (1.15 dinars = 1USD).
