In an unprecedented case in the Middle East, Tunisian Minister of Vocational Training Kareem Younes has suspended a number of directors of departments for refusing to introduce Internet connection to their agencies under the pretext that the service “jeopardizes their positions.”
Press reports said that the minister acted firmly to the directors’ stand as he decided to suspend them because “they rejected his orders of installing Internet connections in all vocational training centers,” according to Younes.
The minister told the press that 640 out of 800 departments functioning under his ministry have been linked to the World Wide Web – Albawaba.com
