A ball was held recently in Rabat in honor of famous ex-Moroccan boxing stars. The event was organized by the center-north boxing league, together with the Chaouia boxing league and with collaboration of the Royal Federation of Moroccan Boxing. The event was held mainly in honor of El Abbaddi Mohammed, who made his career in the 40's, Moulay Larbi El Belghiti, who represented Morocco in Rome Olympics Games in 1960 and in the Mediterranean Games in Beirut, Mohammed El Khabout , known as Robio and Omar Cherkaoui.
<i>Aujourd'hui</i> also reports that the event included a surprise feminine boxing fight between Wahid Fatima (Chaouia) and Hamidi Najat (center-north).
