Trend Micro Incorporated, (TSE: 4704, NASDAQ: TMIC), a leader in network antivirus and content security software and services, will demonstrate its wide range of security solutions, including its anti-virus, anti-spam and anti-spyware offerings, at Gitex this year.

The company will launch a range of Gateway Appliances to build on its best of breed product lineup and market dominance at the internet gateway level. Gateway security protection has proven to be one of the most effective and important solutions in the battle against cyber crime.  By blocking malicious malware at the Internet Gateway, businesses can reduce the risk of infiltration and infection early on, before the malware reaches the desktop.  The InterScan Gateway Security Appliance enables organisations to enforce their gateway content security with a single product.

The company will also showcase its enterprise protection strategy that provides users with a comprehensive approach to managing the impact of mixed-threats.

“Our primary focus for the event will be our solutions for the anti-virus and content security market. Trend Micro will release appliances focused on the mid sector segment to provide customers with a better choice of plug and play, industry leading solutions. We have participated in Gitex for seven years and the exhibition has certainly contributed to our continued success in the region,” said Justin Doo, managing director, Trend Micro.

In addition to demonstrating its products, the security vendor will be looking to enhance its relationships with both its partners and resellers. This will be driven by a series of face to face customer engagements and dialogues around its products and services. The company will demonstrate its entire product range including solutions aimed at the enterprise, SMB and SOHO markets and have senior managers present from its regional operations to discuss specific customer security issues.

“At Gitex, we are keen to increase our exposure to our customer base and enhance relationships with existing alliance partners. The exhibition has always been a strong platform for meeting our channel partners and customers,” explained Doo.

Having claimed significant medium-sized and enterprise business throughout the Middle East during 2006, and worked with a number of leading banking, government, and oil & gas organisations, Trend Micro will showcase what it sees as its unmatched industry expertise at Gitex this year.

“As the non-oil economy matures, an increasing number of companies are relying on the swift and secure transfer of information as the lifeblood of their operations; keeping that information secure is business critical. Trend Micro is committed to the Middle East – we have consistently registered above average growth in the region and this gives us the confidence to develop stronger ties in the territory,” added Doo.
