Trakker Middle East LLC launches latest C-track telematics services in the regional market

Trakker Middle East LLC, a recently launched joint venture company based in Abu Dhabi, has introduced the globally recognized C-track telematics range of products in the UAE, GCC and Middle East market to meet the region’s growing demand for fleet management and vehicle location services. C-track is a globally recognized GPS/GSM based fleet management and vehicle location on-board computer system produced by South Africa’s DigiCore with a 24 hour one-of-a-kind call centre for the convenience of its customers.

Speaking at a media conference held at Le Meridien Hotel in Abu Dhabi yesterday, Sunday 18th of December 2005, to announce the product launch, Naim Abdel Hadi, General Manager, Trakker Middle East, “This latest system will add value to the growing transport business in the UAE and the GCC region, giving more control to owners and allowing them to monitor their mobile assets better. In today's world, information is critical not only for businesses but also individuals. Fleet management and vehicle location based services are an essential part of any business and the demand for top-end products such as C-track, backed by service and support is increasing day by day. Trakker Middle East LLC offers C-track in two distinctive packages designed to suit specific requirements. C-track is an onboard computer, fitted in the vehicle and connects to the Global Positioning System (GPS) through a tamper proof digital system, determining the vehicles position in terms of latitude and longitude, which is then transmitted through the GSM network and plotted onto a digitized map. This is done using C-track’s proprietary software with a host of services. Now customers with one or 3000 vehicles can subscribe to the service after installing C-track..

C-track Solo, the flagship product, is suitable for large fleet owners, taxi operators and specialized fleet management requirements as it easily integrates with various third party hardware and applications. The product enables the Trakker Call Center to keep track of the vehicle’s movement at all times, and also gather information regarding location, speed, status of the vehicle, time, date and the vehicle ID, RPM, engine performance and other information required for data analysis.

C-track Assist has been developed specifically for medium sized fleets and individuals with full fleet management capability and is ideal for insurance, leasing and rent-a-car fleets. C-track Assist enables the user to keep track of vehicles at all times, ensuring security of the car and its passengers. Again the Trakker Call Centre provides the necessary support.

Trakker Middle East LLC also offers its customers Trakker Bureau Services (TBS), which is a consultancy service for vehicle data analysis for fleet and corporate customers. On behalf of Trakker customers, the department acts as an independent professional consultancy wing and provides fleet support and services; uses data analysis and reports to provide value added services to its custmers in terms of fleet management, trip management, data analysis and detailed reporting.

The Trakker Bureau Services also emphasises on key operational indicators based on competencies and vertical markets when assembling data for customers and relies on technology and sophisticated information systems to facilitate customer fleet overview in order to depict key operational indicators.

The most unique feature in the 24 hour Trakker Call Centre based in Abu dhabi, established with the vision to nullify a customers’ administrative costs payable when buying current systems is the knowledge that Trakker is keeping an eye on the vehicles all year round. This allows even small fleets and individuals to install C-track, which was not possible before due to high costs of implementation.

Both Solo and Assist customers can opt for C-Track Base Station or sign up to Web Track, an Internet-tracking facility, which enables them to connect to the Trakker website and view their vehicle’s information. An additional feature is Cell Track, offering to interact directly with the vehicle through an authorized cell phone registered at the Trakker Call Centre.

The company will support customers with a network of dealers across the UAE offering sales, installations and maintenance services. In addition, a fleet of mobile service teams will ensure prompt service to the customers even at their own locations with the Trakker Call Centre and Trakker Bureau Services offering 24-hour support. C-track is installed in over 130,000 vehicles globally and is recognised as a leader in the global telematics market,driving down costs and increasing vehicle productivity and peace of mind for customers.
