The MotorCity GT 500, the Final round of the FIA GT will see an interesting battle in the FIA GT1 and GT2 categories. This event which is held under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, will take place on November 16-18.

Although the titles in both categories were decided in Adria, the runners-up positions are still open. Zakspeed's Sascha Bert is in pole position to finish second in GT2, having a lead of three points over Piccini and Deletraz.  The German, in his first year in the Championship, has claimed two wins and a second place this season. Other potential contenders are Vitaphone's Davies and Biagi, after their second victory in Adria, with Babini also with a mathematical chance of finishing second.

In GT2, Aguas and Salo are lying second, with Tim Mullen currently third. The Scuderia Ecosse driver could still finish second in the FIA GT, while his team-mates Kinch and Kirkaldy could move up to third with the right results. Whatever happens, the Dubai round promises to be an interesting race, around a track which all drivers appreciate.
The MotorCity GT 500 will feature a dazzling line-up of drivers. Among the top names are the 2006 GT1 Champions: Michael Bartels and Andrea Bertolini, 2006 GT2 Champions: Matteo Bobbi and Jaime Melo.
