US bombing has killed three young Jordanians who were apparently in Afghanistan to fight for the Taliban militia, reports said on Sunday.
The Amman-based newspaper Ad Dustour identified the latest casualty as Mou’tassem Moussa Al Daradkeh. The paper quoted his father as saying that his son traveled to Turkey two years ago to continue his higher education there.
He said his son remained in contact with his family throughout the first year, but in the second he disappeared, and later they learned he was in Afghanistan fighting alongside the Taliban.
The paper identified the two other dead as Raed Abdullah Khreisat and Mahmoud Mohammad Al Nsour, who died four days earlier in an air strike.
The three were residents of the city of Salt, 30 km to the northwest of Amman.
The families of the two refused to comment on the death of their sons when contacted by the press – Albawaba.com
