A group of armed Islamic extremists killed three people Thursday in Algeria's Kabylie province, an official said.
The three people were shot and killed as they drove on a road near the town of Draa el-Mizan, in the Bouira region, an estimated 120 kilometers southeast of Algiers, the official said, according to AFP.
The attackers then burnt the bodies and the victims' vehicle before fleeing the scene.
The victims were so badly burnt that it was impossible to identify them, the official added.
Algeria's Islamic extremist insurgency has claimed around 150,000 lives in ten years, according to the press and political parties. (Albawaba.com)
