Three people, including a member of an Islamic group, were killed in the past two days in two separate incidents, Algerian newspapers reported Monday.
On Sunday, an Algerian securitymen killed a youth suspected to be a member of an Islamic group in the Ain el Bey area on the outskirts of the city of Constantine. According to the Algerian daily El-Khabar, the dead youth was identified as joining the ranks of the Salafist group, suspected of having links to Osama bin Laden's Al-Qaeda network.
Meanwhile, unknown attackers killed two youths early Sunday after abducting them on a town road in the village of Um el Toub in Skikda, some 550 kilometers east of the Algeria capital.
These latest deaths bring the toll of those killed in Algeria during the month of Ramadan to at least 12.
