A foreign worker from Thailand was injured and later died of his wounds after Palestinian fighters opened fire towards the Kfar Darom settlement in the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli press reports said.
The worker standing near the settlement's greenhouses when he was shot.
Following the incident, a gunfight broke out between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian fighters, during which two Palestinian workers in the area sustained moderate bullet wounds.
Meanwhile, Palestinian sources reported six other civilians were wounded by Israeli fire in two seperate incidents in Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, Al-Aqsa Society for reconstructing the Islamic holy sites warned Sunday against the continuation of provocative practices launched by Israeli right-wing mobs inside and around al-Aqsa mosque.
In its statement, the Society said “furthering such actions reiterate the pre-planned intention of such mobs, backed by an Israeli political decision, for violating the sanctuary of the holy mosque."
The warning came days after a mob of Israeli activists from “National Union” party declared Sunday its plan to storm al-Aqsa mosque under the pretext of confirming the Jewish sovereignty over it. (Albawaba.com)
