As athletes can testify, preparing for major athletic events is serious work.  But it doesn’t stop when the games commence. Throughout competitions, warm-ups and workouts are cornerstone to athletes. And once again, the same equipment used by sports figures every day in preparation for events like the 2000, 2004 and 2006 Olympic Games, World Cup, Ferrari Formula 1 drivers, Prada, Alinghi and Malscalzone Latino America’s Cup crews and other major sporting matches has been chosen for the 15th Asian Games Doha 2006 in December.

More than 10 thousand athletes and team officials from 45 countries and regions will compete in 39 sports when they face off in Qatar. And for the second time after Iran in 1974, the Asian Games unfold in the Middle East again for a pan-Asian event that will have two-thirds of the world’s inhabitants enthralled for their duration.

Technogym has decked out three major training centers: the Athletes’ Village, Khalifa stadium and the Hamad Aquatic Center. Chosen as an Official Supplier for this colossal event, this co-venture is one which will be a step further down the road confirming the company’s determination to nurture co-marketing and communication opportunities for all involved.  The signing ceremony with Technogym and Doha Asian Games Organising Committee, 21 September at the Four Seasons Hotel in Doha-Qatar, Al Daibel Hall featured the presentation of the latest Technogym cardio innovation that takes movement to a multi-plane experience, Cardio Wave, demonstrated by top trainers.

State-of-the-art equipment available to athletes include the world’s first cardio-appliance line that tempts all the senses with its multisensorial approach – the Excite line with its slim, elliptical design equipped, built-in LCD screen TV, touch-control technology, as well as integrated, aromatherapy vents. Personal Selection Line features strength machine with a trail-blazing, sleek design and a new weight guidance, developed and produced with assistance from the most modern CAD (Computer Aided Design) – same as used in aircraft construction and laser technology. Cardio Wave will be helping keep core, thighs and glutes fine tuned with a new concept that takes movement to different planes – laterally.  Kinesis and Kinesis Personal, the revolutionarily graceful resistance-based training system will be on display during the Games for all to try on Market Street. Tying it all together is the Wellness System – one-of-a-kind technology. Microchip keys storing individual routines are now replacing manually written out training plans lugged from workout to workout, gym to gym, country to country.
