A Syrian worker was killed Tuesday when explosives detonated in his home, Lebanese security officials said.

The cause of the explosion in the Beirut apartment of Abdul-Rauf Abdul-Ghaffar Hakme, 52, was unclear, according AP.

Some officials said Hakme was carrying a land mine when it fell to the ground and went off. Other officials said it was a stick of dynamite that exploded.

Sources said Hakme worked at a bakery. The authorities are investigating the explosion, the officials said. (Albawaba.com)
