Syria’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Farouk Al-Sharaa received Monday morning a phone call from Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov.
According to SANA, talks focused on the current debate within the Security Council over the Iraqi issue.
The News Agency added that both sides’ viewpoints over the necessity of dealing with the Iraqi question by peaceful means, the rejection of all sorts of threats against the country and the unconditional return of the international inspectors to Iraq, were identical.
Additionally, the two agreed to continue their consultations in the Security Council, SANA concluded. (Albawaba.com)
