Syrian President Bashar Assad will pay an official visit to Sudan in the coming days, Sudan’s Foreign Minister Mustafa Ismail was quoted as saying Saturday by Kuwait’s News Agency (KUNA).
The minister said that Assad’s visit aims at holding bilateral and regional talks especially the Middle East peace process.
Ismael said that Khartoum is seeking to lead a wide-scale move to ensure solidarity with the Palestinians against Israeli Prime Minister-elect Ariel Sharon.
Assad visited last week Bahrain and Saudi Arabia during which he held talks on strengthening bilateral ties. He also discussed the peace process – Albawaba.com
