Syrian President Bashar Assad will arrive in Bahrain Monday on a two-day official visit for bilateral and regional talks, reported the Bahrain Tribune newspaper.
Assad, on his first visit to Manama since his accession to power last July, will discuss with Emir Hamad al-Khalifa ways of developing bilateral relations and the latest developments in the region, the Tribune said.
Sheikh Hamad made an official visit to Damascus last October, one month after the prime ministers from both countries agreed to increase cooperation in all fields to be coordinated by a joint commission.
Last month, Assad paid an official visit to UAE for enhancing bilateral ties. He also visited Iran for talks with President Mohammed Khatami – Albawaba.com
